Students’ self-assessment and school performance: study of the relationships between them and the views of the participating teachers and students

Abstract

The modern educational reality and the shift of interest in the active role of students and their participation in the educational process, brought to the fore new views and practices in student assessment. One of the forms of assessment that the student focuses on is self-assessment. During self-assessment, students think, reflect and evaluate their work and its results. In recent decades, research has been conducted, mainly in foreign countries, which has shown that self-assessment has a positive effect on students' school performance, in various, in fact, subjects. However, fewer of these surveys have been implemented in Primary education, unlike other levels of education.
