Problem study for the implementation of quantum computers and quantum information
Abstract
In the present thesis we present studies on quantum computers and quantum information. In Ch. 2 there is an extended presentation of quantum gates, quantum networks, the notion of universal gates and the circuit model. We present a simple and systematic method to decompose complicate gates with elementary. In Ch. 3 we give a description of the basic elements of control theory in quantum systems. In. Ch. 4 we present a simple control switch model for quantum computation. Applications of the model for various candidate physical systems for quantum computers (analytical and numerical results) are also presented. The development of the model gives us the chance to deal with very interesting and open problems of group theory. In Ch. 5 we present studies in quantum information -various measures of information content of various quantum systems which are described by discrete or continuous probability distributions. We study the information content and its applications for atoms, nuclei, atom ...
