CAREERS EDUCATION IN THE GREEK AND ENGLISH SECONDARY SCHOOLS. (COMPARATIVE STUDY)
Abstract
THE AIM OF THIS COMPARATIVE STUDY IS TO EXPLORE THE FUNCTION OF CAREERS EDUCATION IN THE BROADER SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT IN GREEK AND ENGLISH SECONDARY SCHOOLS. THE STUDY EXAMINES THE PLACE OF CAREERS EDUCATION IN THE CURRICULUM, DESCRIBES AND INTERPRETES THE WAYS OF ITS IMPLEMENTATION AND DISCUSSES THE PROBLEM OF TEACHERS' TRAINING ON CAREERS EDUCATION. THE JUXTAPOSITION AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE DATA STUDY THE DIMENSIONS OF CAREERS EDUCATION IN TERMS OF THE EDUCATIONAL FRAMEWORK OF EACH OF THE TWO COUNTRIES.
