Contemporary approaches to the management of educational organizations: exploring leadership and training needs of educators for lifelong physical activity and movement-based recreation

Abstract

This doctoral dissertation investigates the contribution of recreational physical activity and lifelong exercise to the development of skills, attitudes, and overall selfefficacy of physical education teachers and administrative staff. The sample consists of 346 teachers and 54 administrative executives, characterised by a range of demographic and professional attributes. Data collection was conducted using standardised questionnaires, while analysis was carried out through both parametric and non-parametric statistical methods. The analytical procedures included t-tests, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson and Spearman correlation analyses, as well as hierarchical multivariate regression. The reliability of the measurement tools was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, with most scales demonstrating a high level of reliability (α > 0.8).
