Bioeconomy and agricultural sector, exploring the possibilities of formulating a strategy to promote it in the Western Macedonia Region

Abstract

Bioeconomy is an emerging and evolving sector. Bioeconomy represents a shift towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly economic practices and is growing as technology and societal values change, making the need for sustainable solutions more urgent. With advances in science and technology, bioeconomy is likely to expand its scope across a variety of economic sectors and industries. Bioeconomy is expected to have a significant and lasting impact on various aspects of everyday life, from the products used to the way energy is produced and resources are managed. This thesis focused on investigating farmers' views and attitudes towards the bioeconomy, the potential for its adoption on farms and the possibility of developing a strategy for its promotion in the Western Macedonia region.
