The results of the study are as follows: - The female Medical Students have less sexual myths, are more liberal about heterosexual relationships and abortion and have better knowledge than male Medical Students, but have less sexual experience. - Men are more liberal about masturbation than women and they start to masturbate earlier and at a higher percentage than women. - The female Medical Students have less sexual myths, are more liberal about heterosexual relationships and abortion than those of Nursing and Agricultural Production. However, in a higher percentage, they come from urban surroundings and their father's educational and economic background is higher. - Greek Medical Students are more liberal as regards heterosexual relationships than their American and Chinesse colleagues, but more conservative as regards sexual myths and abortion. Their attitude towards masturbation is more liberal than that of their Chinesse colleagues and more conservative in comparison that of American Medical Students. - The Medical Students have more sexual experiences than those of the other schools but they also consider the attitude of their families towards sex more permissive than the attitude of the families of the other students and they seem to be less influenced by religion than the others. - Sexual activities are related negatively to family attitude and religion. - Students of higher socio-economic background, as these are determined by the profession and the educational level of their father, have more sexual activities than people of lower socioeconomic background. 1. Women have a better knowledge about sex, compared to men, but their knowledge seems to be inadequate. 2. All students prefer the use of condom than other contraceptive methods. Undergraduate female Medical Students in their sixth year of studies have better knowledge about contraception, the use of the contraceptive pill has a higher incidence among them, but they have also a higher percentage of abortions. 3. Women who have had an abortion have a better knowledge of contraception and they also prefer and use the contraceptive pill at a higher percentage, compared to women who have not had any abortions. 11) Initial information about sex was given to the students by their peers. There is an emphasis on the need for sexual education among health professional trainees.περισσότερα
