ASYMPTOTIC THEORY OF NONHOMOGENEOUS MARKOV SYSTEMS
Abstract
THE FIRST CONTRIBUTION OF THE THESIS IS CONCERNED WITH THE ASYMPTOTIC BEHAVIOUROF VARIANCES AND COVARIANCES IN A MARKOV SYSTEM AND A THEOREM IS PROVIDED WHICH SOLVES THE PROBLEM IN THE MOST GENERAL CASE. IN THE NEXT CHAPTER THE CONCEPT OF CONTINUOUS TIME NON-HOMOGENEOUS MARKOV SYSTEM IS INTRODUCED AND THE LIMITINGSTRUCTURE IS STUDIED. IN CHAPTER 5 FURTHER PROPERTIES OF CONTINUOUS TIME MARKOV SYSTEMS ARE DISCUSSED SUCH AS STABILITY ASYMPTOTIC STABILITY AND WEAK ERGODICITY. IN THE LAST CHAPTER A SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS OF PROMOTION PARAMETERS IN A HIERARCHICAL SYSTEM IS PERFORMED WITH RESPECT TO CHANGES IN THE OTHER PARAMETERS OF THE SYSTEM.
