Parliamentary minority
Abstract
The present dissertation aspires to deepen the study of the relationship between parliamentary majority and parliamentary minority in the Hellenic Parliament in an overall comparative approach, which examines the institutional establishment, the historical evolution, the dynamics and the perspectives of the role of parliamentary minority. The research explores the position of parliamentary minority within the constitutional balance system of its relationship to parliamentary majority and identifies the degree of protection of parliamentary minority rights according to the relative regulatory framework and parliamentary practice. In its first part, the research determines the historical and theoretical foundations of the guarantees of parliamentary minority protection, including parliamentary opposition.
