Gianni Rodari-Eugene Trivizas: subversive aspects of their work
Abstract
The purpose of the present thesis is to investigate and demonstrate the subversive morphological characteristics of postmodernism in selected texts of Gianni Rodari and Eugene Trivizas; at the same time this thesis investigates the existence of postmodern ideological records in the morphological characteristics of the texts.In the first part of this thesis we examine a number of theoretical issues such as the identity of children’s literature, the role of literature in the texts, postmodernism, the period and the circumstances related to postmodernism as well as the features of postmodern fiction. The method of qualitative content analysis, more specifically the method of context structure analysis, which was chosen as the most appropriate for our study, is presented after the theoretical part of the thesis.
