A STUDY OF THE EFFECTS OF PLANT DENSITY ON THE WATER STATUS, DEVELOPMENT AND YIELDS OF FABA BEANS (VICIA FABA L.)
Abstract
IN FIELD EXPERIMENTS ESTABLISHED AT LARISSA, DURING THE 1987-88 AND 1988-89 CULTIVATING PERIODS, THE EFFECTS OF FIVE DIFFERENT PLANT DENSITIES (15, 25, 35, 50AND 70 PLANTS/M2) ON THE WATER STATUS, DEVELOPMENT AND YIELDS OF FABA BEANS (VICIA FABA L.), WERE STUDIED. IT WAS RESULTED THAT THE EFFECTS OF CROP DENSITYON THE GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT AND YIELD OF FABA BEANS ARE SIGNIFICANT AND EXERTED THROUGH CHANGES IN PLANT RELATIONS, IN MANY CASES.
