The greek anticommunism during the brief 20th century (1918-1989): aspects of the public arguments in politics, education and literature
Abstract
This research tries to investigate the phenomenon of anticommunism as an ideological current in Greece during the brief 20th century (1918-1989). We study the public anticommunist arguments at the Fields of politics, education and literature. Our target is to describe, analyse and understand the anticommunist arguments and to correlate them with the historical era they were developed. At the chapters referring to politics apart from the existing bibliography, this research is based partly on the study of the archives of well-known Greek politicians of the 20th century: F. Dragoumis, N. Plastiras, G. Papandreou, C. Caramanlis, C. Mitsotakis and mainly on the study of the Archives of the Parliament and the Press. We also studied the school books of the period and the General Archives in Thessaloniki, Kilkis and Serres.
