CORINTHIAN CAPITALS OF THE LATE ANTIQUITY IN THE PROVINCE OF MACEDONIA
Abstract
OBJECT OF THE STUDY IS THE CORINTHIAN CAPITAL AND ITS DERIVATIVES FROM THE ROMAN PROVINCE OF MACEDONIA DURING THE MIDDLE AND LATE IMPERIAL PERIOD. IN THE BOOKARE CATALOGUED AND COMMENTED UPON, TYPOLOGICALLY, TECHNICALLY AS WELL AS STYLISTICALLY 129 CAPITALS AND 45 PILASTER CAPITALS FROM THE WHOLE PROVINCE WHICH TODAY BELONGS TO GREECE, YUGOSLAVIA AND BULGARIA.
