CONTRIBUTION TO THE IDENTIFICATION AND STUDY OF CLONES DIFFERENT GRAPE CULTIVARS (V. VINIFERA L.)

Abstract

DURING THE YEARS 1992-1997 AN INVESTIGATION WAS CARRIED OUT TO DEVELOP AN USABLE METHOD FOR INVESTIGATION OF CLONES DIFFERENT GRAPE CULTIVARS. A MINIMUM LIST OF 21 AMPELOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTIC WAS APPLIED IN CONJUCTION WITH BIOCHEMICAL FEATURES TO 26 GRAPE CULTIVARS AND 2 ROOTSTOOCKS THAT ARE CULTIVATED INTHE EXPERIMENTAL VINEYARD OF A.U.TH. ACCORDING TO STATISTICAL ANALYSIS, ALL THE EXAMINED AMPELOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS, MANY OF THEM ARE QUALITATIVE, AREUSEFUL FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF GRAPE CULTIVARS. THE MOST RELIABLE OF THEM ARE: THE BERRY WEIGHT, THE PROSTRATE HAIRS OF LEAF, THE SHAPE OF BERRY, THEANGLES OF MAIN VEINS OF LEVES AND THE LENGTH OF BERRY. 18 ENZYMATIC SYSTEMS WAS ALSO STUDIED BY MEANS OF ELECTROPHORESIS OF NEW LEVES EXTRACT OF GRAPE CUL TIVARS AND ROOTSTOCKS.
