Μη λιθιασικές χολαγγειΐτιδες

Abstract

Charcot's triad (1877) - pain of upper abdominal quadrant - fever - jaundice - means always lithiasis of biliary tract. Nevertheless other rare diseases have the same clinical signs and negative ultrasound for lithiasis. The aim of this study is that every acute cholangitis doesn't due to lithiasis but may be caused by other rare diseases. We studied 14 patients (9m and 5f) mean age 41y with acute cholangitis without lithiasis. We found 2 pts with congenital hepatic fibrosis ( CHF), 3 Carolis disease, 3 primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), 2 papilomatosis of biliary tract, 2 fascioliasis, 1 clonorchiasis and 1 patient with ruptured liver neoplasma in biliary tract. In almost all cases ERCP revealed exactly diagnosis. Liver biopsy confirms diagnosis in Caroli's disease, CHF, PSC and papilomatosis.
