Evgenios Voulgaris (1716-1806): Outline of cultural change and ideological ferment in 18th century

Abstract

This doctoral thesis, with an index action and work of Eugene Bulgarians prominent form of pre-revolutionary years, attempts to comprehensively enhance the relationship of education of modern Hellenism, the ideology expressed by the European enlightenment in the wider Balkan region during the 18th century. Born of the European enlightenment, the modern Greek is a major component in shaping the intellectual and ideological character of modern Hellenism. One of the safest criteria for the assessment of this movement is the degree of creative contact between Greek scholars with the ideological values that characterize it. The wider context within which falls the modern Greek enlightenment is defined by one major issue: what relationship between Greek scholars emerges from the interweaving them with the western intellectual scene.
