Psychological problems after mastectomy with breast cancer and treatment
Abstract
Concerning the evaluation of the quality of life (QOL) the psychosomatic and psychological condition of 169 women with breast cancer and mastectomy has been researched. Their total marking was estimated to be the outcome of their psychological, emotional, functional, physical and social status. The factor of correlation P of Pearson ranged from 0,725 to 7,760. The total marking varied from 27 to 96 at an average rate of 73,10 ± 18,31. On the whole the findings of our research showed low marking in relation to the quality of life concerning women with breast cancer and mastectomy. The psychosomatic and psychological condition of women with ca in situ was better than that of women with invasive breast cancer (P=0,005. It was proven that the overall condition of the women had no connection with their age (P=0,971). As far as their education and income are concerned the hugher their educational level and income, the worse their psychosomatic and psychological condition is (P<0,001). ...
