Abstract
THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERAL AUTOMATED FLOW INJECTION SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHODS OF ANALYSIS, USING A LABORATORY MADE ANALYZER INTERFACED TO A MICROCOMPUTER, ISDESCRIBED. THE ANALYTICAL REACTIONS AND CLASSICAL METHODS CHOSEN FOR AUTOMATION SUFFER FROM: A) TIME CONTROL OF THE STEPS INVOLVED, B) INCREASED INTERFERENCES DUE TO PROLONGED ANALYSIS TIME, C) ADDITIONAL STEPS MAKING THEIR USE IN ROUTINE ANALYSIS TEDIOUS, D) INCREASED REAGENT CONSUMPTION AND E) USE OF UNSTABLE AND TOXIC REAGENTS.
