ULTRASTRUCTURE OF SPIROCHONA GEMMIPARA
Abstract
THE ULTRASTRUCTURE OF THE SPIROCHONA GEMMIPARA WAS CARRIED OUT BY LIGHT MICROSCOPE, TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPE (TEM) AND SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE (SEM). WITH LIGHT MICROSCOPE WAS STUDIED THE MORPHOLOGY OF THE CILIATAL, THE GILL-PLATE SURFACE OF THE GAMMARUS PULEX, WHERE THE SPIROCHONA GEMMIPARA IS LIVING AND GROWS UP. WITH TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPE (TEM) WAS STUDIED THE ULTRASTRUCTURE OF THE SPIROCHONA GEMMIPARA. ULTRASTRUCTURE STUDY REVEALED THAT SPIROCHONA CONSISTS OF ONE MACRONUCLEON, WITH THREE MICRONUCLEUM, ONE CONTRACTILE VACUOLE CYTOSTOME, CYTOPHARYNX AND THE REMAINDEN CYTOPLASMATIC INCLUSIONS USUALLY FOUND IN PROTOZOA. WITH SCANNING MICROSCOPE (SEM) WAS STUDIED THE EXTERNAL SURFACE MORPHOLOGY. IT IS REVEALED THE RANDOMLY DISTRIBUTED CORTICAL PORES ON THE BODY SURFACE AND MANY RIDGES SPIROCHONA COLLAS HAVING A SPIRAL SHAPE AND CILIA DIRECTED DOWNWARDS IN THE BUCEAL CAVITY.
