DIENES POLYMERISATION WITH METATHESIS AND ZIEGLER-NATTA HOMOGENEOUS CATALYSTS
Abstract
IN THIS THESIS THE POLYMERISATION OF DIENES WITH ZIEGLER-NATTA AND METATHESIS CATALYSTS IS DESCRIBED AND THE RELATION BETWEEN THE TWO TYPES OF POLYMERISATION IS EXAMINED. COMPOUNDS OF THE TYPES (TYPE) AND MO(CO)5-PPB3 WITH THE CORRESPONDING ALKYLALUMINIUMS HAVE BEEN USED AS ZIEGLER-NATTA AND METATHESIS CATALYSTS RESPECTIVELY. THE EXISTENCE OF ACTIVATED CATALYTIC COMPLEXES HAS BEEN VERIFIED USING ESR SPECTROSCOPY FOR ZIEGLER- NATTA CATALYSTS, AND IR SPECTROSCOPY FOR METATHESIS POLYMERISATION. (SHORTENED)
