Anonymus (;) in Aristotelis Generatione Animalium: from the ancient exegetical tradition to the byzantine commenting praxis

Abstract

Aim of this thesis is to look into the history of zoological-biological treatises connecting and causes of their not being commented upon till the 12th century, to focus on the commentator's personality and commentity habits and to show the commentator in question is no other than Michael of Ephesus in 12th century A.D.
