Theological and historical religious consideration of interreligious dialogue in contemporary mission

Abstract

The aim of our work is to present the development of Christian mission which led to the modern perception of the necessity of interreligious dialogue in Christian witness. With this subject we dealt in the first (theological) part which is constituted from two chapters (the missionary and the interreligious one). The serious theological study of emerging pluralism and the responsible dialogue with the modern currents of human thought will give us the possibility of studying the world in its progress. In the second part of our work, which is presented as a third chapter, is attempted a regard of the phenomenon from a historical religious viewpoint, something that already has begun to be discussed in the interreligious meetings, besides the fact that has not been spread widely. This approach however can open new ways of approaching persons with different religious perceptions in worldwide mission.
