The military leadership in the 21st century: the education - formation of the leader

Abstract

Radical and direct changes are one of the characteristics of postmodernity. Although leadership in such periods is at the heart of the discussions, there seems to be a lack of major leaders. At the same time, the sign of the times determines the need to identify the modern military leader. In order to satisfy the above dictate, something new was attempted, namely the approach of the Greek military leadership to its foundations, holistically and in the light of Greek reality, free of translations-paraphrases of foreign regulations. Originally, the paradoxical concept of the manager, the director and the leader was defined. A pattern model was adopted, which emerged from the intersection of the above three confused concepts and was aimed at finding their common basic traits , which will constitute the basic foundations in the formation of the officer.
